Free Ways to Help Disaster Victims If you are like me, you hear about a natural disaster, like an earthquake, and want to help. But money is tight and while you know folks need help, your bills must still be paid. Did you know that there are free ways to volunteer? Actually, compared to cash donations, volunteering is the higher road, in my opinion. Giving money is easier. Outreach and missionary work is more challenging. It takes creativity and thought. It sets a great example for kids, too. Getting kids involved in missions helps raise awareness, develop empathy and teach generosity and compassion.
