Catholic, Orthodox and Protestant Christians observe Palm
Sunday which celebrates the Biblical triumphal
entry of Jesus into Jerusalem one week before His crucifixion. Palm Sunday
begins Holy Week and the countdown
to the Paschal Triduum (Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Holy Saturday or Easter Vigil). Holy Week culminates on Easter Sunday.
