Lent Recipes Vegan Cake Recipe: War Cake During WWII, foods were rationed: eggs, milk, sugar and other items. Vegans do not eat these foods, so what better recipes for vegans than recipes from WWII? Here is my grandmother's famous 'war cake' recipe.
